IHG Army Hotels Wainwright Hall - Historia

Stayed here while visiting my son stationed on ft Myer. This location completely exceeded my expectations! I know everywhere in Arlington can give you sticker shock, but if you have access to base I highly suggest giving this location an opportunity. The room was more than adequate for just myself, and the complementary breakfast was an outstanding plus. Convent access to the cemetery and a short walk to the PX or commissary and class six. A lot of food option on base close early so the only option is dominos pizza that can deliver on base which is convenient. Also it’s a short walk to the Roslyn metro station. If you’re on foot I highly suggest the metro to not deal with the headache of parking around the city, or the constant traffic holdups.

When we experienced car trouble, Calvin went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out. Kitchen staff was exceptional, as was the maid service. All members of the staff were very congenial and helpful. It was a very nice, relaxing stay.

The staff at the hotel is absolutely amazing Calvin and another lady. Im sorry, but Ican’t remember her name were absolutely a dream. They were helpful in every way from instructing us on how to get around to ensuring that we got to where we need to be. We are so thankful for their kindness and their hospitality. This was an amazing stay because of the staff and their amazing treatment of us.

The staff and the breakfast are the highlight of this hotel. It is old and historic, but well maintained. There was not a lot of space for storing things and the air unit seemed to never work quite right. There is a washer and a dryer available free for use by travelers. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the made to order breakfasts were great. There are no elevators so you might have to hall your luggage up one floor. It's location near Arlington National Cemetery was a plus since there is a gate that allows you to enter from the base. This came in handy on the day of the Marine Corps Marathon. We were able to visit the cemetery without getting stuck in the race traffic.

This was my first stay at an IHG Army Hotel. I stayed at the Ft Myer VA location and the ENTIRE EXPERIENCE from start to finish with stellar. I'd specifically like to give a shout out to the friendliest and delightful Alcides who made my mornings so perfect and allowed me to start my day with a smile and a full belly of great food! I enjoyed the conversations with the front desk staff as well. The room was so clean and comfy. The shower had great water pressure and I slept unusually well. I hope I get to visit there again very soon! Five stars!

We're repeat guests at IHG Fort Myer Historia and it doesn't miss. This time, the superstar was Calvin! He checked us in quickly and professionally, and he updated my hubby's IHG Rewards info to be sure we got our points for this stay. Our room was clean, fresh linen, and we'll appointed (including microwave and mini fridge in the kitchenette). The pillow offering (soft and firm choices on thr bed) gave both of us what we wanted. The AC worked perfectly and so did the hot water!! After a good night's sleep, we headed to ny hubby's favorite part of the stay: breakfast! His made-to-order omelet was great, and I always enjoy the grits. Pancakes, sausage, and lots of other offerings were all served with a smile. We travel frequently, and it's always a treat when we have real silverware and plastic ware options (he prefers silverware but I like my grits with a plastic spoon ). Another great visit in the books. This is our hidden gem for trips to the DC area.

This is a true hidden gem. Great location to visit a very historic Army post and very convenient to the Pentagon and all the sights in DC. The rooms are beautifully maintained, spacious, and very clean. The Staff is superb both in terms of handling the admin, but quite knowledgeable about the history and traditions of the building and post. They are as personable and courteous as could be. We hope to visit this hotel again in the Spring. Highly recommended.

We stayed for three days over a frigid weekend for the ANCA 125th anniversary. The staff were so helpful and thoughtful! Calvin and Steve went out in the cold and wind to assist with the lift for a friend who was in a wheelchair. They made the stay a very pleasant experience.
